The ZTF Excellence Award is presented as a mental incentive to encourage intellectuals to achieve outstanding achievements in the service of the nation and the global community.
We are delighted to announce that this year's ceremony will take place on 6 March in the state of Hesse at THM Giessen in Building C14, starting at 4 p.m. This prestigious setting provides the ideal stage for recognising outstanding achievements and social commitment.
In order to honor the legacy of Prof. Fomum, the selection process focuses on the following criteria. Performance from the 2024/2025 winter semester and the 2025 summer semester will be taken into account, as well as final or training performance from 2025.
Academic and professional performance
Evidence of excellent performance in studies, doctoral studies, or training, including final theses (bachelor's, master's) and continuous performance development.
Practical and professional commitment Evidence of special commitment and responsibility in a practical environment, e.g., in training companies, working student positions, internships, or comparable activities.
Social and community engagement
Evidence of volunteer, social, or public service projects and activities, e.g., in university initiatives, communities, or social organizations.
Personality, values, and role model status
Demonstration of a sense of responsibility, initiative, leadership potential, resilience, and alignment with fundamental values.
Mentoring and supporting others
Evidence of mentoring, tutoring, or support activities for fellow students, trainees, or younger participants.
