The youth movement “Youth Challenge International”

The youth movement “Youth Challenge International” represented at THM Gießen

On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, various committees and initiatives presented themselves at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) in Gießen. For the second time, among them was Youth Challenge University, the student branch under the patronage of Youth Challenge International (YCI).

On the occasion of the university presidency’s welcome ceremony for the new semester, held at the Kongresshalle, the students and representatives of Youth Challenge University took the opportunity to introduce first-semester students to the goals and activities of the movement.

Youth Challenge International sees itself as a Christian movement based on biblical values and open to all students interested in personal growth, strengthening their values, and making a positive contribution to society. The movement emphasizes principles such as discipline, respect, responsibility, and integrity — values meant to help young people find direction in their studies, careers, and daily lives, and to become role models for others.

With flyers and books such as The use of time, A word to students, and No defeat is final by Professor Zacharias Tanee Fomum, the representatives engaged in conversations with interested students, informed them about the movement, and invited them to further meetings and activities. In total, around 15 students expressed their interest in continued exchange.

Youth Challenge University is part of Youth Challenge International (YCI), a global movement that encourages young people to take responsibility and contribute to the well-being of society through Christian values.
